Success! Fresh Water in Haiti

On 2012/04/19, in Uncategorized, by waterhaiti

After already spending $70,000 on previous drilling attempts, a client contacted Northwater International to perform a 3-day hydrogeologic investigation and geophysics survey.   The team mobilized last fall to Northwest Haiti to find fresh water for the community.  The previous attempts had resulted in dry boreholes or wells that were brackish.   The teams survey report provided recommendations to avoid areas previously targeted and instead to drill a new area slightly to the west.

As result, a successful well, with fresh and clean water, was completed for the benefit of the local residents and a further waste of effort and money was prevented.

Is this specifically exploration or do you actually install water wells. We work in Montrois Haiti. We are committed to this area and want to get them access to clean water. Can you provide any information?

    Hi Sandi

I was going through my Spam folder and somehow you ended up there – sorry about that. We don’t drill the wells but do the hydrogeologic assessments to increase the chance for success in difficult areas. If you have water in the area, you probably don’t need us. But let me know if you found someone already otherwise I can send you contacts for drillers.
